Last but not least, I would like to recognize and thank, Susan Pillow, who is a librarian at Jones Memorial Library. She was tremendously helpful to the committee members during our research in preparation for this reunion. She cheerfully retrieved countless boxes from storage, sometimes the same few boxes over and over again and made our job much easier.
Thank you for letting me share this with you. It was a very enlightening experience for me. It took a lot of hard work to make Mrs. Flippen’s vision a reality, and a lot of work to keep it going. I feel very fortunate to have participated in the vision and I believe these ladies, where ever they are, should feel proud and gratified that they made such a contribution to the lives of the women who attended their school.
